Short answer: most Indian homes use doors about 7 feet high. Widths are commonly about 3½ feet for the main door, 3 feet for bedrooms and 2½ feet for bathrooms. Always measure your own openings before ordering.
Common sizes
| Door | Common size (ft) | About (mm) |
|---|---|---|
| Main entrance | 3½ × 7 | 1050 × 2100 |
| Bedroom | 3 × 7 | 900 × 2100 |
| Bathroom or toilet | 2½ × 7 | 750 × 2100 |
How to measure

- Measure the height on the left and the right; note the smallest.
- Note whether the frame is already fixed, or whether you need a frame too.
- Note the wall thickness if you need a frame.
